Ogoh Alubo received a Bsc Sociology degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria- Nigeria and MA Sociology, MSPH Public Health and Ph.D Sociology from the University of Missouri- Columbia, USA. He joined APHRC in April 2010 as Program Manager for the Consortium of Advanced Research Training in Africa (CARTA), prior to which he was Professor of Health and Social Development in the Department of Sociology, University of Jos, Nigeria. He brings to the current position over two decades of University scholarship which includes undergraduate and graduate teaching, supervision and research. He has published over 25 essays in peer reviewed journals, authored/coauthored five books and over 12 book chapters. Ogoh has vast experiences in community engagements in various aspects of health care development. In addition to membership of several academic associations, he is a member of the National Universities Commission (NUC), and the National Economic Intelligence Commission (NEIC) of the government of Nigeria.
